The Cannibals Happy Jazz

The Cannibals go back to 1959. The repertoire of the band spans from entertaining traditional Dixieland music to New Orleans jazz, playing numbers by, among others, the Dane Leo Mathiesen, Armstrong, Ory, Ellington. A band very much worth listening to, as well as being very danceable.

Originally, the band consisted of students from St. Anne Music School/The United Church Schools, which is home to the Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir, at that time being led by the conductor of The Royal Danish Orchestra, Mogens Wøldike. Three of the present members of the band come from this music school.
